- Mechanical massage, theory as per text book

- Six classical massage movements and the therapeutic value of each:

  • Effleurage
  • Petrissage
  • Tapotement
  • Hacking
  • Cupping and kneading, including wringing and skin rolling

- Friction

- Client care and modesty, towel draping

- Massage medium, oil and talcum powder

- How to set up a practice

- Home visiting

- Record keeping

- Taking case histories

- Definition, the manipulation of soft tissue for therapeutic purposes
