We have a wide variety of Full-Time, Part-Time and Post-Graduate courses to begin or further your career in beauty and complimentary therapies. Ranging from our 1 year Full-Time Beautician, Body Therapy and Electrolysis course and 2 year Part-Time course, to many others including Post-Graduate Courses in Reflexology and Aromatherapy.

Contrary to the stereotypical image which is normally associated with a beauty therapy course both the full and part-time courses are quite scientific and incorporate three core modules of beautician, electrology, and physiology. The courses are quite intensive involving three diploma examinations at the end of the year or 2 years for the part-time course.

The British and Swedish examination boards are continually increasing the standards which requires a higher level of competence and commitment from future graduates.

One of the outstanding features of the course offered in the Portlaoise Beauty College is that it incorporates a sales training module. The benefit of the latter is that if graduates go straight into the business of beauty therapy they will automatically be competent in achieving high levels of retail sales which account for approximately 45% of profits.
