Dietetics
A basic prerequisite for a successful aesthetician is a thorough
understanding of the subject of dietetics. Dietetics is the base
upon which slimming and health rest. This subject consists of
a comprehensive series of lectures, which give a basic understanding
of all aspects of diets and foods in medical practice. This will
include: -
- Calorie counts
- Foods
- Importance of vitamins
- Diet formulations
- The direct relationship of diet and slimming

- Deportment, hygiene and manners of the beauty specialist
- Hygiene and arrangement of treatment rooms

A working knowledge of the current treatment, limitations and contra-indications.
